The Walking Dead season 5 episode 7 “Crossed” showed Rick and the group come up with a plan to try and get Beth and Carol back, while Father Gabriel gets himself into trouble and we find out if Eugene is alive or not. The major points from this episode are (in order how they appeared in the episode):
- Rick, Daryl, Noah, Sasha and Tyreese go downtown Atlanta and in a warehouse prepare a plan. Rick wants to go in and take out the people at the hospital while Tyreese suggests a non-violent way, kidnapping two officers and try a trade. Daryl agrees with Tyreese so Rick gives in to the non-violent trade plan.
- Rick and his group set up an ambush with Noah and capture three officers (Shepherd, Lamson and Licari).
- Father Gabriel sneaks out of the church and wanders through the forest.
- Lamson gets Sasha to bring him into another room so she can take out one of his supposedly fallen friends/now walker outside, as she aims, Lamson slams her head into the window knocking her out and then he makes a run for it.
- Eugene wakes up.

Season 5 episode 8 (mid-season finale!) is named “Coda” and the description of the episode is: “Rules and morals have been tossed aside by new enemies. Rick will try to find a peaceful agreement, but they might prefer violence.”
