Andrew visits the cell where Dexter is locked up in. Dexter tells Andrew that he’s got to find a way to A Block where there is riot gear, shotguns and lots of ammo. Andrew says that he will find a way to get him out. Dale, Glenn and Axel are outside trying to find a way to take out zombies through the fence as more and more are piling up outside the prison. Tyreese and Carol are cleaning out the gym. They flirt and then fool around. Outside, Carl and Sofia are talking and playing.
Suddenly, Andrea busts through a door to the outside, yelling for help with Thomas chasing her. Andrea falls and Thomas is ready to attack but Rick tackles him to the ground and starts pummeling him with punches. Rick figures out that it was Thomas who killed Hershel’s daughters and keeps punching him. Lori tries to stop Rick but Andrea pulls her back. Rick continues punching Thomas, messing up his right hand badly and Thomas’s face at the same time. Tyreese and Carol are now outside to see what’s going on and Tyreese pulls Rick off of Thomas.
Dale, Glenn and Axel are now outside where the others are. Rick says that Thomas is alive for now and that they have to do what’s right, not coming out and literally saying that they should kill Thomas but it’s meant that way. Lori then goes off, yelling at Rick, that now they have to do whatever Rick wants, that they have a chance to change things and not kill. Andrea, holding the left side of her face which has a knife cut across her cheek, says that Thomas deserves to die. Tyreese says that they have no rules for this kind of thing and if they’re going to re-establish society then they need rules for this. Rick says, “You kill? You die. It’s as simple as that.”
Patricia looks to be sad and says that Thomas was nice. Lori then bursts out yelling that Rick is making the decision for all of them. Rick says that he was put in charge, he’s a cop, he’s trained for this, and he’s making the best decision for everyone. Lori yells at Rick, saying that he’s her husband and not her father. Rick tells Lori to shut the fuck up. Rick asks the group that is outside, if anyone else is against capital punishment, that they need to make a statement, that we do not kill. Rick says that they’re going to hang Thomas.
