Issue #16 starts with Rick driving back to the prison. At the prison, Maggie finds Hershel crying and asks what’s wrong. Hershel points into the barber room and Maggie sees her sisters dead, laying there and the heads start making noises as they came back as zombies which freaks out Hershel and Maggie. In the gym, Andrea is shooting zombies to help Tyreese but there’s too many of them. Glenn pulls Andrea saying that they have to go because they can’t save Tyreese. Andrea doesn’t want to leave Tyreese in there but runs with Glenn and Billy to the exit.
Lori and Carol are washing up in the showers. Axel gets a peek at them before they notice him and he says that he’s sorry and that he didn’t know anyone was there. Glenn tells the others what happened with Tyreese. Glenn and Billy find Hershel and Maggie and see the two dead sisters. Glenn shoots the heads. Lori, Dale, Andrea and Glenn go to Dexter’s cell and accuse him of murdering the two sisters and they lock him in his cell by himself. Lori and Carol talk as they sit beside Carl and Sophia sleeping. Carol starts crying about Tyreese and Lori is there for her. Carol moves in to kiss Lori but Lori is shocked by her doing that. Carol apologizes to Lori.
Rick returns to the prison, Dale and Glenn tell Rick what has happened while he was gone. Rick wants to check the gym and make sure that Tyreese is dead if he turned into a zombie. They open the gym doors and find Tyreese alive with a lot of dead zombies around him.
In the morning, Andrea is in the laundry room getting some prison uniforms from the dryer so they can be washed and later worn by the group if needed. Thomas visits Andrea in the laundry room and Andrea says that if he won’t help her, why is he there? Thomas replies, “So I could cut off your head.”
