Issue #15 starts with Julie now a zombie trying to get at Tyreese while he holds her back as he tries to talk to her, thinking that she may come back. Chris shoots Julie, splattering her blood all over Tyreese. Tyreese lunges at Chris and Rick yells at Tyreese to stop. Tyreese glares at Rick and Rick backs away. Tyreese chokes Chris to death as Rick stands nearby watching in fear. Rick says to stop as Chris is obviously dead but Tyreese keeps choking him. Tyreese tells Rick to leave, that Chris will be coming back soon and he’ll kill him again but slower this time. Rick leaves and tells the rest of the group that Julie and Chris are both dead from a suicide pact they had. He also tells them that they came back as zombies even though they weren’t bit. Rick has a tough time sleeping with something on his mind.
The next day, Tyreese burns the bodies of Julie and Chris, and says that he’s fine, acting like nothing happened which worries Rick. Rick tells Lori that he has to go do something, something she wouldn’t want to know. After not sleeping and thinking about Julie and Chris coming back without being bitten, Rick thinks they’re all infected and they’re just waiting to die before coming back as a zombie.
Glenn and Maggie go to the prison’s barber room to have sex. Lori is complaining to Carol and Andrea about Rick always going off and she’s getting sick of him. Hershel is working on setting up a garden while Glenn and Maggie show off their new haircuts, Glenn is now bald and Maggie has short hair. Maggie’s twin sisters, Susie and Rachel, want a haircut too and Maggie takes them to show where the barber room is.
Tyreese, Andrea, Glenn and Billy go to clear out the gym. They agree to stay near the door for a fast exit just in case they get in any trouble. Tyreese though goes further into the gym, hacking away at zombies. Soon Tyreese is surrounded by zombies, away from the others as they call his name to get back.
Rick is at where they buried Shane and he starts digging the ground where Shane was laid to rest. He waits for zombie Shane to get up and starts talking to it, saying that he couldn’t sleep knowing Shane was alive or whatever down in the ground, he says that Shane was a good man but he didn’t know why he did what he did. He shoots zombie Shane in the head and doesn’t bury him again.
Hershel is heading to the prison’s barber room, looking for Susie and Rachel, yelling their names. He finds the barber room and stands in the doorway in shock, his daughters are on the floor with their heads chopped off.
