Quick summary
Issue #14 starts with Rick and Tyreese talking with the prisoners about how much food the prison has stored. Rick and Tyreese then bring their group into the prison’s cafeteria to get some food. Rick tells the men in the prison that they are not a rescue team and he tells them about what’s outside and they appear shocked and scared. The four prisoners tell them what they are in prison for. They tell Rick and his group that one is in for armed robbery (Axel), another for tax fraud (Thomas), another for drugs-possession, selling and stealing (Andrew) and the last one is in for murdering his wife and her boyfriend (Dexter). They tell Rick and the group that they’ve been locked in the cafeteria for months as the prison guards locked them in there when they left. Dexter takes Rick and Dale, showing them the kitchen, the store room, the gym (which is full of zombies), the laundry room, the garage and C-Block.

Rick talks with Tyreese about bringing Hershel and his family to the prison but Tyreese thinks it’s a bad idea. Lori also thinks that it’s a bad idea but Rick and Dale take the RV to Hershel’s farm. Rick tells Hershel and his family about the prison. Since the farm has been getting more and more zombies, Hershel and his family decide to leave the farm and go with Rick and Dale back to the prison.

Lori talks to Carol about her looking fat but Carol says it’s normal because she’s pregnant and maybe she’s further along in the pregnancy than she thought. Lori has a concerned look on her face when Carol says that to her. Hershel thanks Rick for bringing him and his family to the prison and apologizes for almost killing him before.

In what appears to be a prison shower area, Chris and Julie are naked, having just had sex, and agree that they’re ready to go ahead with their suicide pact where they’ll shoot each other at the same time. One gunshot goes off waking Rick and the others. Rick runs to where the sound came from, finding Tyreese holding Julie’s body yelling “No” over and over. Chris says that it wasn’t supposed to happen like this, they were going to fire at the same time but he pulled the trigger too fast. Tyreese wants Julie to come back to him. Julie’s body reanimates into a zombie and lunges at Tyreese.
