Issue #8 starts with Rick and Lori not sure what they’re going to do about her being pregnant. They then tell the group which is shocked and staying quiet. Allen says he’s worried because there are no hospitals and they have no doctors but Rick says not to worry, they’ll cross that bridge when it comes. As the group goes into the RV to go to sleep, Dale talks with Rick outside. Dale doesn’t come right out and say it, but he infers that Shane could be the father of Lori’s unborn baby. Rick gets upset and snaps at Dale saying that that is all he is thinking of right now and if he dwells on it he may lose his mind. Dale apologizes to Rick and gives him a hug.
The next day they’re on the road still looking for a place to stay. They come upon a little fenced-in neighborhood named “Wiltshire Estates” and start looking around a few of the houses. They decide to all stay in one house for the night and start bringing stuff into it. While everyone is in the main room, Rick and Tyreese go to check the other areas in the house. Rick takes the basement and Tyreese takes upstairs. Rick opens the door to the basement and two zombies come out at him and knocking him down. Tyreese comes to the rescue knocking the big one off of Rick and killing it, while Rick takes care of the other. Rick and Tyreese then go down into the basement together and kill another zombie.
They find a lot of canned goods in the kitchen area. There are four rooms upstairs and the group splits up in them. Donna, giving out extra blankets to everyone and being nosy as usual, peeks in the room where Dale and Andrea are staying and sees them kissing.
The snow on a sign on the outside of the fence starts melting and falling to the ground. The sign reads “ALL DEAD DO NOT ENTER”.
