SPOILERS ahead! Below I’ve put together the more important events that happened in The Walking Dead season 7 episode 16 “The First Day of the Rest of Your Life” but you can read the full episode recap and watch the “Inside the Episode” video here.

In episode 716, we see flashbacks of Sasha with Abraham; Dwight has a plan and Rick and the group agree to it; Eugene gives Sasha the suicide pill and Sasha gets in a casket for the ride to Alexandria; the big twist of the episode was the Scavengers/trash group turn on Rick and Alexandria as they made a deal with the Saviors; after some talking between Rick and Negan, Negan opens the casket to show that Sasha is ok but instead she comes out of the casket as a walker but Negan is able to escape from her; mayhem then erupts between everyone; when it calms down, Negan has Rick and Carl in another lineup with Negan threatening to kill Carl but Rick doesn’t back down; then out of nowhere, tiger Shiva attacks the Saviors saving Carl from getting his head bashed in; then we see Maggie leading the Hilltop into Alexandria to help; Negan and the remaining Saviors retreat as the Scavengers also leave; Michonne gets beat up badly but kills her attacker; back at the Sanctuary, Negan declares that they’re going to war; Maggie and Jesus put down walker Sasha; and Rick, Maggie and Ezekiel talk to the three communities all together.

Rest in peace Sasha, you will be missed. Season 8 should be filled with All Out War!
