Oh man wow, it feels sad writing about episode 4 because we lost two characters from Rick’s group that we watched since the beginning of season 1. Read and watch the summary of episode 4 “Killer Within” here.

Episode 4 was full of action along with some scenes of Woodbury with Michonne snooping around, the Governor trying to play nice guy to hopefully have Andrea and Michonne stick around, and Merle wants to look for Daryl but the Governor isn’t too enthusiastic on that idea.

Back at the prison, that s.o.b. Andrew is still alive! Ugh I thought he died in the prison yard when Rick shut the gate on him, but no he’s alive and now he’s causing trouble at the prison. In the mayhem, Lori, Carl and Maggie hide in the boiler room as Lori’s baby is coming right now! T-Dog gets bit on his shoulder, and later he sacrifices himself so Carol can get by two walkers. RIP T-Dog. We don’t see Carol after all of this, did she die? Where did she go?

Rick and Andrew fight but Oscar kills Andrew, showing that he can be trusted. Lori tells Maggie that she has to cut her open and get the baby out, she knows she’s going to die and that they have to do what they have to do. Lori has some emotional words for Carl as she knows it’ll be her last words to him. Maggie is able to get the baby out and alive. Carl puts a gun shot to Lori to make sure that she doesn’t come back. What’s left of the group re-groups outside as Maggie holding the newborn baby and Carl join the group. Rick collapses to the ground in grief and tears realizing Lori is dead.

So looking at the two preview videos for next week’s episode 5 “Say The Word” we see Rick going off with an ax, maybe on a walker killing spree or maybe to go see Lori’s body. The newborn baby needs formula or she will not survive. We see Daryl going for a run, most likely to find formula for the baby. On his trip will Daryl and Merle meet up? Will Daryl meet up with Andrea and Michonne? The preview also shows Michonne and the Governor not getting along so well. And it looks like the Governor may have his walker “games” like in the comics. The end of the first preview video also shows Milton getting his wrist bit by a walker, but it looks like he’s wearing some protective gear on his body so maybe he’s testing how strong the walkers can bite and if his gear can protect him. The second video shows Axel and Oscar talking with Glenn.

*Quick note: I just remembered at the start of the show, Rick says something about the prison armory already being picked clean/empty, so it looks like the group will not get any extra ammo or guns from there.

And yes Lori is dead, Carl shot her so she wouldn’t come back as a walker. People keep thinking now because they didn’t show it, like with Andrew, that Carl didn’t shoot her, but yes he did, the actress in an interview said so herself. RIP Lori.
