Today on Twitter Robert Kirkman said that they have wrapped on the mid-season finale (source). So everything from the awesome season 3 trailer is most likely from the first few episodes of season 3. Remember this season is broken up into two parts, just as season 2 was. There will be a total of 16 episodes in season 3, 8 in the first half, and 8 in the second half.

What do you think the mid-season finale may end with? Some have speculated it’s Rick losing his hand. That’s a good guess. I’m also wondering if it will be Merle or the Governor who does that to Rick. We’ll have to wait and see.

Kirkman also posted a picture and linked to it on Twitter of the Woodbury set. It’s a little tease but something to keep us busy with while we wait until October 14th.
