Issue #21 starts with Dale and Tyreese running back to Rick, Axel and Allen as Allen was just bitten. They carry Allen outside and Rick says that they need to cut off his leg so he can live as bites kill. Tyreese is against it but eventually tells Rick to just do it. Rick chops off Allen’s lower left leg, below the knee. Allen is losing a lot of blood and Hershel comes over and takes control of the situation as he seems to know what he’s doing.

Later, Allen is in and out of consciousness and he asks Andrea that she and Dale take care of his boys when he dies. Tyreese goes to the gym to blow off steam. Michonne joins Tyreese in the gym and gives him oral sex. Carol goes to the gym to find Tyreese, and she sees Michonne and Tyreese. Maggie and Glenn have sex. The issue ends with Andrea finding Michonne talking to herself in her cell.
