At first Rick has decided that they will be giving Michonne to the Governor, but soon after he has another vision of Lori and he changes his mind, he’s not going to give Michonne over to the Governor. In the meantime, after Rick told Merle about the plan, Merle brought Michonne down to the tombs to clear out some walkers. Merle knocks out Michonne and later are seen walking on foot as Merle says he’s bringing her to the Governor. They get into a little trouble with walkers but manage to escape in a car. While driving, Michonne and Merle talk and he lets her out of the car as there’s something he has to do. Rick and Daryl realize that Merle and Michonne are gone and Daryl goes after them.

Merle drinks some alcohol while blasting the music from the car drawing a lot of walkers. He drives slowly leading the walkers to where the Governor and Rick were suppose to meet. When he is near the meeting place, Merle gets out of the car and hides in a building. The Governor and his men hear the loud music and go to check it out. Soon the walkers start to attack the Governor’s men as Merle takes out a few guys with his gun. A walker attacks Merle and he is discovered by the Governor’s men. They start beating on Merle and the Governor comes in and they fight as the Governor even bites off some of Merle’s fingers. Merle says that he isn’t going to beg and then the Governor shoots him. Later, Daryl finds Merle as a walker now, cries and then kills him.

A few other things happened in the episode such as Glenn getting Hershel’s blessing to ask Maggie to marry him. Glenn gets a ring from a walker’s hand and later places the ring in Maggie’s hand and they kiss. Rick gathers the members of the group who are there and tells them about the plan that he was going to do and apologizes for not telling the rest of them. Rick basically says that there is no more “Ricktatorship” and everyone has a vote of what they do next.
